At the current state, Six Days in Fallujah is very playable and can be thoroughly enjoyed with a squad of people who want to play their fire team role, and move, shoot, and communicate as a unit, and succeed (or fail) as a team. graphics could be better, and destruction is, at least for now, limited to doors, windows, and certain vehicles, but the game is immersive and intense. It's a lot less fun (and hard to succeed) without such team, however, matchmaking works well, and developers are promising further content like AI controlled buddies that may improve a lone-wolf experience down the road. I like it.
Don't listen to the cucks talking about it being propaganda.... It focuses on the marines that were there and what they went through. It's incredibly immersive and teaches you about what was possibly the most intense battle US forces engaged in since vietnam (from the marines perspective.) Ignorant folks are taking offense about something they've never experienced nor ever will. This is a highly active veteran community and not only is it a proper demonstration of the true chaos of war, but it has also connected me with many other veterans. I'm very grateful for this release thank you!
Excellent game! Really shows the horrors of war and the absolute struggle of survival in the battlefield.
Listen, you will fail at this game. That's a given. I failed for the first 5-6 hours. It feels awful, you're frustrated and you think it's all bs. But that's this game. It's hard, unforgiving and cruel. But you can get through it, you gotta work together. Go slow. Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast.
Absolutely recommend it as good fun with friends. Although you will get frustrated, so try manage your anger.
Played 1 game last night, first and last. All I heard were a bunch of foul mouthed redneck losers who thought they were god's gift to the Infantry Soldier. Your typical pro fps losers without jobs. This game is doomed if this is the type of BS people have to listen to. Refund coming.
The AI in this game are very unrealistic. It is like we are the noobs and the AI is the marines. I was up in a room in a corner AI comes in 3 inches into the room automatically knew where I was and head shots me. If they are going for realism this is not the game to play.
I absolutely love this game it's so fun. The only issue I have with it is that it does not have enough content for I believe $40 it was. However, I will continue playing it every day because it simply so fun.
Every single MILSIM game i played over the years, none of them could come close to Six Days In Fallujah.
ARMA series was good but the AI kinda sucked and dated, and heavily dependent on scripts.
Project Reality/Squad/Harsh Doorstop are decent but, had very little or no AI support and the map is pretty much never randomly generated.
All the other obscure MILSIM games i played all had similar issues as the major MILSIMs mentioned above.
But the devs for Six Days In Fallujah really drop the ball on this one and did a damn good job and it's a early access title.
griping, atmospheric and ever changing.
cannot wait to see this game once all content come available. if you enjoy games like insurgency, ghost Recon or Arma this is the game for you. a Mic is a basis requirement. the ability to work as a unit is vital.
Enemies spawns really need to be adjusted. Have multiple instances of enemies spawning on top of us or right behind us directly after clearing a building and having the AAV move up to our location. AAV has a mounted gun that doesn't register these enemies either. Enemies shouldn't be able to spawn in one the match is in progress. They should spawn at the start of the mission and have to move into position. Spawning enemies in a building you just cleared so they can shoot you in the back is unrealistic and an annoying mechanic.
now wait wait wait wait wait
before you all say something, I like this game
and then you follow it up with
i enjoyed my time playing it! I thought it was great roleplaying as a... US Marine
but for its current price point, CHU, you gotta type out, CHUH, NO WAY.
let this game- let them cook a little longer
wuhh wuhh once its out, once its on full release, you know, but right now, save your moneey. save your money.
I'll be back when it's on full release.
Load up the game. Im a Lance Corporal. Spend my days on point clearing buildings, taking out RPGs attacking my convoy, dodging sniper fire through red smoke, and in general getting shit done. I take orders from whatever Sergeant or Staff Sergeant is usually my SL. We usually die.
I am a Corporal now, I provide rear security with the 249 and let the team clear, I rush to clear the mortars alone while my team guards the convoy. I let my PFCs enjoy the highlight reels they put up when they guard the one stairway up after we pull the flag. Sometimes we win.
I am a Sergeant now, I pop my 40 mike mike on VBIDs, I yell at people for not saying "crossing" when they walk in front of our 249 laying suppressing fire, I tell our Privates and PFCs they did a great job after they run directly to our target building without order and get blown up by an RPG. We win a lot.
Great game absolutely love it. Cant wait to match with an LT so they can tell me how shit I am
Such a good game.
My brother served in Afghanistan and Iraq and this game has put into a deep perspective for me what it was like and has made me look further into what happened.
The emotions I feel during this game have been intense and at times I can't help but feel for the people who actually went through Fallujah. Much love and respect to all
Breath of Fresh Air for the FPS genre. While still in early development, its clear this will take point and deliver! Currently playing the available FIRETEAM Mission Solo- stuck on 1st one(Have read there are currently 3)
Gameplay tempo is slow and requires sound decision making as each attempt spawns new placement of enemies and even map layout(You cant rely on committing things to memory after multiple failures- which has been quite humbling and a fun challenge)
-AI is crafty and will employ a variety of tactics to out maneuver you.
-Sound is just the right amount of realistic without requiring hearing aids after trading gun fire indoors
...A-10s flying by overhead, various neighborhood sounds and movement clues really drive home immersion.
-Visuals are currently clean and consistent- excited for the final product polish
-Hit registry is steady and hasn't raised any concerns
-So far the presentation is genuine and respectively pays tribute to the Men & Women who served in this conflict without being inflated or patronizing. This game has been in uphill development for awhile-it shouldn't go without mention that the Dev's deserve credit for staying true to their vision and not buckling to pressure for the sake of political correctness.
Tbh this is one of the most fun I've have in a game in awhile. Definitely having a mic is a must. No coms = No win. Slow and steady is best. The community is pretty decent, some ppl are just natural assholes. All in all i cant wait to see what this game has to offer once the campaign opens up.
all i can say is im having alot of fun i hope the devs know what they have the sound design is masterful atmosphere is amazing been leading fire teams on missions and just having the best time gunplay is nice as well thank u!
Definitely Early Access but still has a lot of good elements to the game. Cutscenes look right out of a documentary, graphics are pretty good, and from what gameplay exists its definitely a decent experience, as long as you are ok with the same 4 missions. Hopefully new content and bug fixes will be coming soon because not only does it lack overall content the game has a decent amount of bugs that can ruin a run. It's still in early access so perfection isn't expected but for what it is right now its definitely a fun time.
6 days in Fallujah is an amazing MilSim that has been executed perfectly. The only issue I have is with the lobby size being capped at 4 pers. Bring in the ability to have at least two 4 man fire teams to really bring the feeling that you are apart of a full squad in a realistic combat setting. With only 4 men it still kinda feels like a run and gun cowboy shoot due to the amount of enemy’s you face and best as only 4 men. Plus with how fun this game is it’s a shame I can’t play with more people to add to the intensity.
Use my comment as a vote to up the lobby size
Is a great game the only complain i have that annoys me that there is a bug where im not able to aim only until i die than i can aim when i get revived. Or when i change to a second weapon than to first i can aim. I say to add more players on team and make it harder by making map langer to travel like double and more enemies. Besides that is a great fun game.
its hard and if you don't have a mic then your just going to make more difficult. Communication is key for this game, with out its just going to make things harder. Overall the game pretty good so far as for early access cant wait to see what else they got for us.
Sometimes you walk off of the AAV, and your whole squad gets vaporized by a single RPG. Other times you make it across the street and you lose three dudes to a single mortar round, only to be left helpless and scared while Saddam's Fedayeen rip into your cover with PKMs. If you want to shit your pants, or suffer even more stress after a long day of work, then this is the game for you!
Good tactical shooter but i wish that it had the campaign and spec ops missions in it already but time will tell. Most players have good tactical communication which is a plus. Game has serious potential.
Game has been in development for "10 years", they have about 5 different missions, 3 of which feels like an old-school point and shoot style game, the other 2 can be completed within 10 minutes. Honestly i would wait until they complete the game.
Visuals - 8.5
Sounds - 9
Gunplay - 4
Ai -5
CoOp - 8
worth it. feels like ready or not but on a neighborhood scale against armed militia. sound design is awesome. not many maps but the maps do change significantly each round. only downside is gun play..it could have been a bit more realistic and intuitive. wont be beating ready or not gun play at all.
very sqaud based and you have to use communication. good communication equals win. this is not battlefield nor is it cod this game is the real deal. like it love it or hate it,this game is an action packed experience
Low Player Base. Hard to find games without getting the same people over and over again. But, better then solo play.
Movement is somewhat akin to realism? i think? I play a ton of FPS games so i can't speak on that.
Gun play is good, the A.I is also very akin to how they really fight and flank in Iraq, gets you on your nerves.
I've seen better reload animations from a 10 year old on blender, It looks like my solider has parkinsons and forgot what a bolt catch release is. and the reload audio is like listening to a fork on a plate.
The voice chat audio is amazing. love it along with the radio use and sounds.
Overall, I love it. only think i hate is the animations. makes csgo sources reloads look like MW2019
I'm barely over an hr in and I'm enjoying the game. I will no doubt continue playing this game and pretty excited for the full campaign to release. The movement feels great and the graphics are realistic. My only issue is having to shoot an enemy 3-5 times as it only takes 1-2 for me to go down. Even in training I had to hit a target in the head 3 times. It won't kill the game, but I do believe to feel more realistic it should be 1 shot head kills and 2 to chest. The enemy may be wearing armor, but so are our soldiers.
For what this game is, I am absolutely loving it. While it is in early access and only has 4 missions, the randomized layout making it different each time adds a great deal of repeat missions without it feeling stale. I hope they add other fire-team roles in the future but the roles that exist now work very well with each other.
-The AAR's could slow down a little bit to be able to read all the information provided but otherwise they are a nice touch on completed missions.
-The combat is very fun and engaging. From the sounds, to the sights, even the military-grade tinnitus included add a level of realism that really brings out the best in this game. The variable zoom on weapons is a very nice touch that I feel is missing in many games. One suggestion I could say would be to add a free-look option so you can keep weapon facing in certain situations.
I would definitely recommend this game and there is many more pluses I could add. Please keep in mind that this is early access and many more features are on the way. It is much better with friends as this is not a game you can solo at the moment. I have not tried matchmaking so I cannot speak to it.
$40 IS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what content this game offers. This is a good milsim game and it is great, but it really needs a lot of work. I look forward to hopefully seeing many quality of life additions like changing loadouts, being able to choose maps, etc. since a lot of aspects of the game are just not up to the player's choice, the game randomly chooses things for you. And when you can, it is inconvenient. For example, only the host of a lobby can change the classes of everyone which is pretty weird. So yeah, this game really needs work and it surprises me how much is missing that should be in this game. More content is needed. It has a lot of good, like fantastic sound design, but again, a lot more needs to be added to justify the $40 price tag. What's even more ridiculous is that the developers plan to increase the price of this game after early access?!
One of the Most Immersive and realistic games I've played to date. Extremely impressed. I think this has huge potential to do far greater things. A VR and/or a PvP version if possible would be pretty crazy to say the least. Highly recommend and looking forward to further release.
The game at its core is very good, guns feel great, gun fights feel amazing and the need to communicate with your squad is fantastically done IF you can get them too communicate at all.
HOWEVER there is a sever lack of content here as of right now, you'll play around 4 missions but mostly you will get the same mission over and over again, the game was toted as being a documentary and showed it would include documentary style videos which it does if you count the 3 4 minute video clips as a documentary.
I will recommend this game if you enjoy milsim shooters HOWEVER it is hard to recommend as it relys on squad gameplay and finding a squad who is willing to communicate is extremely difficult for some reason, I cannot recommend buying this unless you have 4 friends who are willing to play it with you regularly, this is my main reason for having so few hours in this game in its current state
This game is a buggy mess but the potential is there.
Pros:
-The comms system is really good, i like how i can talk normally within proximity of my teammates but need to use my radio when away.
-Communication is key and when you wonder off and lose track of your teammates the game can turn for the worst real fast.
-Gunplay is enjoyable to an extent
-The intro and video clips got me immersed immediately. They did a fantastic job of bringing you into the situation.
Cons:
-When I try to play a match solo the menu music persists into my match. Even when I mute the music through the settings it still continues making single player unplayable for me. I even get a trailer playing at times, its weird.
-Youre thrown into the game without an explanation. Which is fine because the realism is what makes it. However these marines/soldiers got plenty of training before Fallujah. So when I get my 203 or shotgun and its not telling me the basics of it or how to use it, it makes your first few matches very awkward. Youre baptized by fire in a sense.
-It takes a few shots to put down the enemy. This, to me, kills the immersion. It almost feels arcadish how many hits it takes to drop a guy. Youre better off just using your pistol the whole time since the M16A4 does jack shit.
Its a good game if you enjoy a game that requires comms and tactical movements. House clearing is fun but can get old. For $40 consider it an investment that hopefully the put this game in the right direction.
