I installed the game. Had to uninstall and reinstall several times. The game still would not work. I verified integrity of game files several times before trying re-installs and still would not work. It comes through as a black screen and nothing else. I wound up requesting a refund through Steam.
When playing with jokers they should suit with spades. If spade leads, jokers are required to throw, and the same way they can't lead if spades haven't been broken.
Doing it any other way makes the game hard to play for people who play JJ2A in real life.
Game worked at first. Now It loads with a white box in the middle of the screen and I can't play it.
Customizations are a bit limited and AI options also a limited. I have not tired multi-player, but single player is so-so. Not sure it's worth $11, but probably more like $3 and would recommend.
Good Game, please add being able to change the rules to play Joker Joker Deuce Ace, and changing the AI difficulty in singleplayer!
I'm glad to be able to play spades with others, but I wish 1) the cards were a bit nicer looking 2) there were better bots, or more difficulty levels. Still worth the money, though.
I recommend against this game as the AI is terrible. I've played several games and won all of them by a large margin. The AI team failed to make their bid on 5 out of 6 rounds. This isn't because I'm particularly good at the game, just that the AI constantly makes terrible decisions - I could believe the bots are just playing any random card that's allowed by the rules.
The rest of the game is simplistic but serviceable - it's just the AI that prevents me from enjoying the game.
I'll return to playing free online versions when I want to play Spades.
