This game gives me different levels of emotion while playing.
It's as if I'm riding a roller coaster that just takes me through every emotion but happiness/joy for hours on end...
But when I finally beat a stage and get rewarded with that happiness/joy emotion... it's pure bliss/ecstasy.
10/10 game. More of a emotional roller coaster than my day to day life.
True indie - the graphics are ugly, the music is annoying, the levels are bare bones, yet the gameplay is solid enough to carry the game. There's more levels than you need or want, and then there's ironman mode in which you're expected to never die - so if you like to have all the achievements maybe skip this game.
Stilt fella is an awkward controlling game that isn't awkward at all! that is if you can master the stilts...
The gameplay is quite simple as day, make it to the end, don't fall! except the games controls aren't difficult at all, infact the tutorial takes seconds, but what doesn't is getting control of everything, see, even walking without stumbling on your ass is difficult in this game and the obstacles that slowly start to become present only add to the confusion, but man is it fun, it doesn't try to wind you up and make you angry, it just sorta lets you laugh at your own fumbling and once you have a level down, you move on where you start the process all over again and slowly increments the difficulty nicely and truly i enjoyed this game like WAY more than i felt i should have; and then comes iron fella, which has 34 of the games levels, which you have to do back to back, without falling ONCE, it is brutal, tests your consistency, nerves and makes sure you know every level before you even stand a chance, but i very much do not like yolo style challenges, but this one, i have to say its pretty fun, even if the first half is super easy and becomes boring to do, i found myself doing more goofy and wacky things to pass the time, something about the game just seems to bring about a sense of liminality and cosiness that made the game feel very fondly lovable to me, and even with one of the worst iron fella screwups i've ever seen (i died on the end is nigh level, somehow.) i still felt motivated to push through and enjoy the game to the fullest all the way through.
The graphics aren't anything fancy, but they are pretty gpu intensive, originally my game kept having technical issues which i associated with the game but was not the case, just be aware that the game might need some oomph to your system to not have it lag, but regardless i love the games style, i do feel its not the most stylish game, but it has a great way of creating ambience, like in cloudland it gives that feeling of being high up and feeling nauseous, or how mystery cavern feels like you're not supposed to be there and you've discovered a secret, so while the game isn't dazzling it sure as hell makes up for it with its ambience and simplicity.
Music wise is simple too, and i feel this is where all the theme of not doing anything to sharp or drastic was tied together, see the music isn't super upbeat or terribly heavy but it has a great sense of fitting its environment, especially the ost for farmland and championship, those fit their respective levels and series like a glove, top notch.
This game overall doesn't do anything too heavy, and i can appreciate the delicate nature of the game, and even though my time with the game put me through my paces, i can safely say i really was able to get into the vibe the game had and enjoyed it a lot, so absolutely give it a try with some coffee or hot beverage and snuggle up, while your fall flat on your ass repeatably xP
Great QWOP-like with a ton of content. Frustrating and satisfying in turns, but also rather hilarious, as these types of games are inclined to be. Very high skill ceiling, but fair controls that afford you some flexibility, and sometimes (rarely) lucky accidents happen that can get you across the finish line. I actually think this is one of the better examples of this genre of game that I've seen, it's varied and fun.
I really wanted to like this game, but I can't like a game that can only be beaten by TAS. This ticks all the checkboxes to annoy players: Non-balanced game design (including no checkpoints for longer maps), you're punished for the slightest provocation, you need frame perfect movement with zero room for errors, the maps can be buggy causing funny ragdolls and glitches like map levels not resetting properly requiring you to exit and load back in, etc.
Yeah I could skip levels but then you're locked out of progressing after three skips. Try a different mode in Stilt Fella? Nope. Progress can only be made in the main campaign. No progress is allowed in other modes until you progress in Stilt Fella itself. Add all these up and you have a game that can't be beaten by anything but the most hardcore players and TAS players. I shouldn't need to replay each level thousands of times. That's not fun.
I fell off some boxes and the game launched me into the ionosphere. 10/10,
I have never been as mad or felt as stupid as trying to figure out these controls.
very good controls on pc or controller, very intuitive. Challenging levels and nice mechanics. Very pogchamp champ i am pogchampion
I'm gonna have nightmares from Cloudland 3.
Simple and yet challenging. The game could have a couple more levels but it's already pretty good for the price-tag. I got addicted on the first run and when I finished it I even tried several runs of the Ironman mode but failed miserably, you have to finish the entire game without falling a single time.
Really cool game, I recommend it.
Cloudlands 3 is fucking impossible. fun game overall. As a rating I would give a rope/chair
beat it in 2 days. still real hard tho
Like Getting Over It With Bennet Foddy, but maybe 10% as hard. Or if you prefer, like QWOP but about 1% as hard.
It's fun.
best game i've played all year
Best indie game I've played since Hollow Knight
This game will go onto the list of games i'm proud of completing
good game for fellas of all ethnic backgrounds
the master sound doesn't control all the sound, only the menu sounds and music. why would you make a fucking master volume option the only thing if it doesn't control the MASTER FUCKING AUDIO.
that sums up the quality of this game.
its the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen and pathetic to call it a game.
this isn't tilt talking, the levels jump from simple to bullshit in 15 seconds and there's no learning curve to it.
some levels go down to rng and that is complete shit.
I believe my auntie didn't get cancer because of smoking, i think she was a beta tester for this game.
The BEST the Strand type genre has to offer
Upsides: This game's overall very fun and challenging, and it feels great to do things correctly
Downsides: Idk if it's just me being bad but the diving boards kinda suck, I don't think I've ever done a diving board part correctly on purpose
It's fun...if you're playing with friends.
On its own its kinda meh. It starts off pretty funny as an interesting concept but quickly get repetitive.
It's quite good if its trying to be a 'rage game' especially with the limited level skips.
It progressively gets harder as you'd expect, but it goes from fun to 'I wanna snap my controller in half' pretty quickly.
The in game leaderboards, like all of these kinds of games, are inherently useless considering the cheaters make it impossible to try and get to the top legit.
Apart from that it's a solid game, its not incredibly complicated besides the purposely fidgety controls.
I do recommend this game but only because it does what its supposed to do pretty well even if it does piss me off lol
Fun, challenging, and silly game. Worth $9.99. Beat the campaign and had a great time with it. Unique control scheme and the level design is good. If you like physics based puzzlers you should pick this up.
This is a great game for the right person. I liked it so much that I was compelled to beat Iron Fella. Feels Good.
hella awesome, controller recommended
You wiggle controller sticks to move your stilts and push triggers to lift them up.
That is the central mechanic of this game and at first, it may seem that this is just a rage, youtube bait kind of game but it's actually great fun
The 40 levels are nicely varied with different kinds of suprrisingly creative environments and obstacles and the central mechanic is realized well enough to allow for challenging but fair gameplay with high skill-ceiling.
If I had to come up with a criticism, it would be that the physics occasionally freak out if you put your stilt in certain places, which did cause me a couple of inevitable deaths. This issue was fixed or at least mitigated a lot in recent update that also added some new content and more bug fixes.Amazing game! The mechanics are wacky at first, but once you get the hang of walking it becomes very fun and challenging. The different levels always throw you a curve ball. I hope there is a DLC with more levels cuz i would definitely buy that!
inspirational journey about a man on stilts
please nominate this game for game of the year
This game makes me to want to rip my hair off, sell my computer and move to moon. But it's still lot of fun
this one separates the boys from the fellas
i am not the fella because cloudland 1 makes me want to kill myself
edit: i finally beat it. and the championship. this shit is G.O.A.T.'d
Fun weird platforming challenge game with a dumb sense of humor that resonates with me. Really does a good job of ramping up the challenge over the game's levels. Only downside I can think of is occasionally the physics can glitch out, though from what I've played, it'll only cause about 5% of your fails at most, except for a couple physics object-heavy levels. Still, an absolutely great time all around.
Simple and fun game. Good for passing the time with. I'd recommend it.
29 minutes of stress inducing pain and horrors.
I think i dont need to shave my head anymore because of this game
This game is great for making you feel like an infant learning to walk. Good times.
After 18 hours of what can only be described as psychological torture aimed at people with masochistic tendencies and fingers swollen to the size of bowling balls - I have finally beaten the game. And I feel the most accomplished than after beating any other game. And... and... I hate this game. I despise it. And I love it. It is so good it will literally make you hate it and love it at the same time. At one point it even confused me sexually. I cannot recommend this game enough. I'm serious. I cannot recommend it. DON'T BUY IT. Unless you like really challenging games that will force you to fail thousands of times in the most infuriating ways possible. If this review confuses you, then you understand how this game made me feel. But seriously, BUY THIS GAME. It's amazing.
If you don't give this game a try your life is essentially pointless and you have no reason to continue living. This is a great game even for $10. A very challenging game that kicks you back in the ass for skipping levels. And the extra levels are a nice touch when you beat the game. I hope they continue to add extra levels. I would recommend controller but kbm may actually be easier. If you want any easier route though are you really enough of a gamer to play Stilt Fella?
My only complaints about the game are bugs but they aren't really game breaking. They usually happen if you've already died or you know you're going to die. Some bugs have helped me beat levels. Well worth the price and I'd honestly pay more if I had to.
So relax that I want to smash my PC.
This game has stilts. This game also has obstacles. 10/10.
This guy has shitty legs.
10/10
Play this game with a friend so you have someone else malding with you.
I guess it's alright, full price of 10$ is a big no for a game like this. A decent physics game, it's somewhat fun to play and try to pass the level.
This fella has stilts, what more could you want ?
A game made for determined individuals.
I played it because I saw it on Going Seventeen and IT'S REALLY HARD GETTING THE HANG OF IT AT FIRST, ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAY WITH THE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD. But it's actually really fun. Except level 10...
I watched a famous streamer play this, and always wanted to try it myself. Finally got it on sale. It's a lot better than I expected. Really good game. The controls (for gamepad) are actually kinda intuitive once you get used to them. The developer keeps adding extra stages, fun modes and other goodies. Very nice. If only there were more games like this.
I only wish I didn't have to make a Reshade to fix the wished out dull colors. I want to say I'd like more character customization, but I think that what's available kinda suits the style as it is, if you know what I mean.
Note: I can't seem to re-route the audio for this game, so if you're using a virtual audio setup, watch out for that.
This game is tight, unironicly one of the most fun to come out in 2020. My only complaint is the lack of music during levels.
Edit: flawless now with the music
This isn't *just* a Qwop clone, this goes beyond that and becomes it's own thing. Constantly novel and surprising, go in as blind as possible and take plenty of breaks so that you don't go insane!
very fun game, just simply enjoyment. also the dev is on top of things when it comes to bugfixing :)
It's a love hate relationship. good game
Its pretty good, you should try it. Best use of a game pad.
a good difficult game. play as fella on stilts. 10/10
hey alright, keep it down will ya?
Do you have enough of SISU to complete the STILT FELLA?
Game provides quite a challenge that ramps upward as you pass the easiest levels. As a good newbie help it provides 3 level skips, which can be afterwards reclaimed by finishing the previously skipped level.
By surpassing the previous levels you unlock special and cool cosmetics on your characters.
Played with Xbox One Controller, the movement in the game is top notch stilt movement you could imagine.
You will need some practice on later levels but the feeling of jumping is a bit better with "lever-L2&R2" than the old button pressing ones.
I will recommend this game to anyone who has spent countless hours while playing games like... Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, I Wanna Be the Guy and Jump King.
I originally picked this game up because I thought adding it to my YouTube channel would be hillarious content as it looked aboslutely rage enducing! While this was true, it also lead to such a fun unique adventure full of challenge and wonder and I LOVED every second of it!! Just finished recording the last episode of my playthrough of it and oh my god was it worth ALL the pain it took to make it!!
10/10 would stilt again
(YouTube Channel is HotLettuceTV for anyone curious)
fuck this game and fuck the devs dogshit mechanics made me hate myself
This is my first review so I'll keep it short. If you love physics-y puzzle games then you gotta buy this! Never skip a level though. I was stuck on a level for 3 weeks and when I beat it I literally raised my hands in the air and shouted "I BEAT THE LEVEL!" at my girlfriend haha Last I'll say is I think the difficulty progression in the game is pretty smooth. I haven't felt like it ramps up too much all the sudden. Anyway, enjoy!
You do not need this review. Deep down you already know if you will like this game. If you played Getting Over It, Pogostuck, or Jump King then you already know whether you want it or not.
I hate liked it.
How can a game be this stupid and yet be so much fun?
It's dumb, the levels make no sense, it's janky both graphically and as far as stability goes, and the music ranges from kinda nice to WTF are they doing? But the gameplay is addictive. It starts off feeling like QWOP but certain levels will force you to learn new skills and unlike QWOP you must improve to proceed. It's not easy to cheese and it is actually satisfying to beat.
If you like physics-based gameplay and mastering unintuitive controls, give this a go. It feels like the right level of challenge to me, just enough to piss you off and rage quit, only to come back for more.
Quick Score: 4/5
Notes: Its kind of fun, but it is janky by design and very barebones visually. Takes a minute to really get a hang of the controls but once you do, progressing through the game is pretty fun. Though be warned there is a chance you will just never understand the controls, in which case god help you.
Legitimately one of the most fun games I have ever played. It can be WILDLY frustrating, but holy moly does it feel good when you win.
Music is 10/10
Very Silt Very Fella
As far as janky physics games go, this is the most fun I've had with one in a while, and while the learning curve is steep it's well worth it. Fuck Cloudland 3 though.

I lost a lot of hair while playing Stilt Fella. Playing on stilts was a joyous experience, but playing on ROCKET STILTS WAS LITTTTT. They added a bunch of new content after initial release, and have some of the hardest achievements on steam. This is a good buy.
STILTS, FELLAS
WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT
Comparable to other certified hood classics such as Baby Walking Simulator
Like riding a bike, if a bike was two sticks.
the lore is stunning and i cride.....
