Gameplay and Music get repetetive rather quickly. I can see how they tried making it interesting within the levels of a campaign as well as between the different campaigns, but it just doesn't cut it. Controls are obnoxious. Keyboard is too rough cut and janky for this, mouse might work well if you had Putin's table as a mouse pad, and a standard USB xbox controller isn't recognized by the game. For a casual game, it's just too bland. Unfortunately, in hopes of it improving, I gave it too long of a chance to be able to get a refund. Likely won't install again.

This is certainly one of the games of all time. I would definitely reccomend for friends who want to play a simple yet goofy game about eating things. The story is comprehensible enough to understand why you wanna eat everything while also keeping that "goofy ahh" feeling. I have had fun playing this game and I would recommend

As much as I loved the previous games as a kid, upon playing and completing the main story, I couldn't help that most of it felt extremely boring and a slog to play through. Not enough variety in the levels in regards to items, and the gimmick gets old quickly. Also, it's almost impossible to get more than at least one star -- the score goals they give you are incredibly difficult, not to mention every single time you get hit by something that can hurt you, and some of these things being extremely hard to dodge, you lose points. Not to mention the controls are quite floaty, unfortunately. Dissapointing, since I remember liking this series a lot as a kid, and I don't hold any ill well towards the developers, but it just doesn't age very well.

I have admittedly played the last game in this series all the way through during bouts of boredom two or three times but this one works in a way I don't appreciate. There are too many bonus levels locked behind star requirements which, even in the easiest mode possible, I was sometimes unable to match. I wouldn't have a problem with this if the levels weren't only entertaining the first time you play them. Couple this with the top down view, speed of movement and busyness of level design and you have a perfect recipe for extraordinary eye strain. Overall not what I was expecting but I still like the developers.

It's amazing! how it works is funny, their chages are funny (especially the baby) and the rest of the tasty games, although i havent played them yet, i know their amazing too. it was pretty challenging in some parts like the cats level 18, and the first extra fox level, but still.. 5 STARS!!

the fact i can say most levels only have 1 to 3 unique entitys that spawn or are on the map without exaggeration should make clear how repetitive this game is, im not sure if its nostalgia for the old games but they where more creative with the limited assets they had, but this one is just repetitive

most levels break down into collect 1 respawning thing while something chases/eats the food your going for, and a 50/50 chance your allowed to eat the thing annoying you

some levels are somewhat creative but its just dragged down by all the filler, and the lack of story also drags it down and adds nothing to why the all the creatures have the same propertys as the goo

is good simple and fun

but its way to unforgiving you lose points way more when you get hit then you do when you eat things.

If you don't know if you like this style of game, just search up "tasty planet flash" in your web browser, it should give you a (playable) idea on how they play. If you still don't know, try the first game on Steam, its only $5.

Instead of repeating what everone else has said, 10/10 would play again.

7 years ago, the developers of this game asked for ideas on what to put in "Tasty Planet 3". I was one of the few people that responded, by suggesting adding lower level subatomic stuff, such as quarks and atoms, and larger stuff such as a multiple universes.

I was told this would be too complex for most players to understand.

Today I played Tasty Planet Forever, and found they had added quarks, atoms, and multiple universes.

God damn you, Dingo Games.

oh also the game is okay, last level is way too long, i give it a 7/9

yet another year and another tasty planet game. overall the game was a fun time killer as i genuinely play this game mainly when waiting for others to load. my only big issue with the game was when the levels got tedious and repetitive other wise
it's a solid

I really love this game. It is better as they do have more variety because during Back for Seconds the levels were very boring. This is better. I really wish more people would know about it. It is a great game. Good job devs 👍

Listen here, dear viewer, and listen well... There may be other reviews claiming that the game is/gets repetitive, and the same ideas are reused again and again, and that things might get old.

Well, I'm here to tell you that most, if not all of this... Is NOT true! In Tasty Planet, the game is about eating smaller things to become larger and eat large things that you couldn't eat before, whether it be as a cat in a restaurant or an octopus in the sea. There are an astronomical variety of entities for you to consume on your path to becoming as large as possible as each character, and each of these are arranged in many different ways in many different levels, providing a large amount of variety!

It's not all just mindless consuming, either. The game also provides special levels, where you are to complete a task to attain victory, such as consuming poisoned food and avoiding good food, eating litter in the sea while avoiding fish, helping humans to subdue a zombie outbreak, or clearing a path filled with landmines for the safe passage of elephants. Some of these levels (and some entire character chapters) provide quite the message, and serve as a good intermission from the regular gameplay to avoid quick staleness.

The game challenges you by sporting a 3-star rating system based primarily on speed. Just finished a level and feel like you've got the hang of the layout and have the technique needed to beat it quickly? Try again and zoom your way to the top of the food chain! It's not just for fun either; The more stars you have, the more content you unlock, such as bonus levels of each chapter, or even alternate appearances for each character!

I've played every single Tasty Planet game that has ever come out... Tasty Planet, Tasty Planet (web browser version), Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds, Tasty Planet: Dinotime (The second web browser version, pretty much a waaay smaller version of TP: BfS), Tasty Blue, and now this. The series has created fond memories within my mind since I was far younger many years ago, playing it for the first time on Wildtangent. This is definitely the largest Tasty Planet game of all, and holds up the quality that all its predecessors had very well!

Tasty Planet Forever might have a mildly cliche title, but it's definitely deserving in my opinion. This game is the culmination of many years of adoration fans have had for the series, and is truly worthy of carrying the Tasty Planet legacy... Forever! Thank you for taking the time to read all the way down here if you didn't skip!

If you were too lazy to read all of that... Just buy the game. It's really good.

Tasty Planet Forever is a really fun casual game, that’s all about eating anything thats smaller than yourself (if you ignore a few anoying levels...)

I've played and completeted "Tasty Planet", and i like that in this game "Tasty Planet Forever" that there is much more levels, and that there are a few more challenging ones.
One thing i miss from "Tasty Planet" is to get the amount of x- thing you ate, other than that amazing game, Recomened 10/10

A very solid entry in the Tasty Planet series, would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoyed the previous game. Also good for anyone trying to get into the series. However, the gallery has been removed, and the story is a little lacking. Gameplay is still great.

its a very fun game to play in your free time!

1. theres a lot of levels
2. theres a multiplayer mode, so you can play with your friends
3. theres 10 characters so you won't be bored playing with one all the time

I would recommend this game to everyone
its not even expensive, just 8 bucks!

The Tasty Planet series is something that I've loved ever since I first found out about it. You become the destroyer of worlds throughout the series, but this is the game where you finally get to destroy more than one world! I think that the creators of this game have managed to find a good way to continue the series. They've given us 8 different worlds to munch on for luncheon and they all seem to last for a decent number of stages. Not so few that we feel cheated, but also not so many that we get bored with it.

The bonus levels can be frustratingly difficult, particularly when you have to knock an object into a makeshift goal. The controls feel WAY too sensitive!

I think that this is Dingo Games' best game yet! I really do hope that we'll see more of the grey goo and his friends in the future.

Tasty Planet Forever is a fun game, but some of the levels drag on for way too long. Some of the water levels are especially annoying. It's not as good as Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds, but it's still a fun time.

Also, it's a shame the game only runs at 60Hz. I have a 144Hz monitor, so when you speed up your character to super speed, it looks blurry compared to what it would have at 144Hz.

It's a fun game if you want to relax. But I have to say that it is generally disappointing when compared to the other games made by the company. Not a lot of variety with the top-view worlds and the ending is generally uncreative. I would recommend The games Tasty Blue and Tasty planet if you want an enjoyable experience.

My son played this a lot as a kid, and we just discovered that this is available on Steam as well after all these years. It's mindless fun and a great way to blow off some steam. There's no real way to lose, and it has a katamari damacy type of gameplay, only instead of your ball getting bigger, your creature grows slightly. It's way fun.

It's very fun and has very good graphics, though stars are kinda hard to get even on the more early levels.

Toadragon
Toadragon

It seems that they are already exhausted with this game.
There are new things but very quickly begins to repeat.
And there are some levels that are too long.
For a game where you eat everything there are levels that you have to eat certain things is quite limited.
At the end of the level it does not show you what you ate unlike other games.
The stars are at times taken for luck rather than skill.
To win them, you look at the points and the time quite stupidly. The things you eat start to give you a few points pretty quickly.
Too many degrees of difficulty most are unnecessary. There is no degree of calm like other games.
The fact that there are different animals you play with does not make it more diverse.
It gets boring pretty quickly.
They are exhausted.

Tasty Planet forever-

Tasty planet forever is a lot like the other games in the franchise although it is not a sequel in the usual meaning of the word since the story is not a follow up on any of the previous tasty games, and instead of one simple coherent story there is eight tiny stories, that are not connected.
The graphics are in a drawn style which I personally enjoy and think is pretty and the vast majority of you reading this
review should have no problem running the game whats so ever.
There is a lot of reused assets both in the music used and the things you eat in the game but there is plenty of new music and things to be eaten.
Gameplay, it’s much same as in the previous instalments you can move with the mouse or keyboard multiplayer is an option, but now you can sprint too, and the tiny stories switch perspective between top down and from the side.
There are over 150 levels but about half them are bonus levels that ranges from easy and fun, or hard and infuriating, the bonus levels are looked by the amount of stars you have but don’t worry you just need be good at the game to get the stars, you don’t need to grind or pay up just play good.
Pricing for this game I would say is fair.
Overall I would rate this game 8.5 stars out of 10, things that could have been better would be even more music and every assets should be new or atleast look different enough so you wouldn't think they just reused stuff from the previous games.

Eat things and get bigger.
Get bigger and eat...bigger things.

This is a pretty straightforward game but is really good at what it does. Levels are quick and fun. The game feels like a 2D Katamari, even down to being quirky.
The game has a decent amount of replayability as you can unlock bonus levels by getting up to 3 stars on each main level.

The only real negative I have is that some of the levels are very difficult to get 3 stars. It's frustrating when you feel like you got through a level in record time only to receive zero stars!

For a game that came 12 years after the first, it manages to do everything worse than all of its predecessors. Its art style is subpar compared to Tasty Blue, it has way too many characters with no explanation how they exist, and the ending, despite the surprise reveal in the last level, is essentially a terrible carbon copy of the first game's conclusion. As short as it was, I could only keep playing knowing that it's the last I'll ever have to see of the franchise.
