Yeah, I'd say this is at least a decent puzzle game.

A great implementation of lights out. Too hard for me once the blocks started doing special things but even the amount of vanilla content was worth the asking price. Great value if you're of a mind to do the whole thing.

Cool little puzzle game, easy to learn how it works, but difficult to master. Some of the later levels in particular get pretty difficult to complete, especially considering that to "complete" the game you have to do each puzzle in the minimum amount of moves.

Be prepared for your brain to hurt! But very satisfying when you work them out.

Unfortunately this is unplayable on mac due to some kind of graphics issue. A drawback of minimalist game design is the stripping out of menus where settings might be tweaked by the user to help a game function better cross platform...

Good, and challenging game, you can find patterns in hwhat happens when you press keys in certain orders, or you can think of what will happen what you press whatever in ur head, use ur brain, or use ur brain patterns, lol.

Wayout is an ok casual puzzler. As someone who tries to complete all achievements in all games, I slogged through Wayout. The puzzle type is simply not to my fancy -- a personal dislike for the program's nature vs. anything intrinsically wrong with the program or puzzle style itself.

The music is somewhat run of the mill for this style of game and the colour pallet was somewhat garish -- having a bit of an EGA vibe at times (though there are of course more colours than those but that magenta /cyan vibe was present.

Overall this is a decent puzzler with an ok number of achievements. There is nothing really wrong here, but I personally did not enjoy completing this title.

Worth a buy for anyone interested in a casual puzzle game but just not my personal cup of tea.

Simple and relaxing Lights Out type of game. If you enjoy these types of puzzles in more generalist puzzles games, this is a cheap fix with an enjoyable difficulty curve.

Wayout is a nice and in its ways a simple strategy game.
It really pushes you to think about your moves. The riddles get harder as you progress and some of them can be quite tricky and even frustrating. But there is help around the corner (community or youtube), if you get stuck.
All in all, a good game for in between and the price is fine as well.

𝕯𝖎𝖆𝖇𝖑𝖔
𝕯𝖎𝖆𝖇𝖑𝖔

Mind-breaker type game, easy and pleasant, but it is tedious and wants to sleep through the music.
For someone who likes such games i recommend that, others can get to the game because of their achievements - you can use the letters and make the words in the profile.

Xas
Xas

Awfully hard despite the simple looks.

Sequence of pressing the right tiles.
Domino effects on every action, adjacent tiles reacts.

" The more you press, the worst it gets ".

If only there is a 'rewind' previous move action key.

Achievement awarded as long as each stage is cleared, even if didn't 'perfect' the stage.
But
in order for Final Stage and bonus 10 stages to appear,
all stages must be perfected.

Despite hours of staring at the puzzles, a dozen of them unable to perfect.
Thankful for the community guide from user fusecavator, in order to unlock the last achievement.

Playable, prepare for lots of frustration.

Simple and surprisingly fun. I don't even need to play for long to enjoy it, which is something I love. Just mess around for a while and occasionally unlock something new. Each step is a little achievement that give me a sense of satisfaction :).

Hello Everyone,

It is time to test your hand at a series of intricate plate-based puzzles to find out it you have what it takes to escape. This review will be covering the first game in developer Konstructors Entertainment’s Wayout series, “Wayout”. Since introductions are over, we can begin.
Wayout is a puzzle game that has players go through a series of pressure plate-based puzzles in order to advance through game’s levels. Players will have to change the active colour plates in the game to their inactive white forms by pressing a specific combination of squares to succeed. The game’s main mode has around 120 levels with one additional level appearing as the game’s final level. After the final level concludes, the game has an additional set of 10 levels that the player can continue to perfect their skills. The first few levels of the game are essentially a introduction of sorts that helps the player get a grasp of the game’s basic principles. After this is accomplished the puzzles continue to escalate in difficulty. Once a player makes it so far into the game, they will be introduced to a new game mechanic that makes solving the puzzles, that much more difficult. The levels are divided into six sections and in each section a new game mechanic is introduced. By the final puzzle all the game mechanics will have to be used congruently in order for the player to complete the main game. This can prove to be somewhat difficult but after some practice, it does become more manageable to progress through the game’s stages.

Each level has a specific amount of moves that the player can make to get a perfect rating for that level. Once a perfect rating is achieved, the level square tile will flatten on the game board and change the colour of that specific territory. There are a total of six territories in the main game that comprise the game’s 120 levels. When a level has not been completed in the allotted amount of moves, the level square will turn yellow and lightly decline in height on the board. All of the game levels have to have a perfect level rating in order to open game’s final level.

This game has roughly around 6 to 10 hours of content for the player to play through depending on their level of skill and familiarity with this type of genre. The game’s controls are rather responsive and function with a mouse. This game does not have any text dialog, which means that there is no need to be concerned about language settings. The overall settings for the game are simplistic. The game has a button for turning the in-game music on/off, a volume up/down button and a game exit button (when you are in a level you also have a return home button). The in-game music is tranquil, but it gets redundant rather quickly due to this game only have one sound track. However, this game does allow you to play music from the background to alleviate the problem of a limited sound selection.
In the end I would say that Wayout is an enjoyable puzzle game that does offer a significant level of challenge as you progress through the levels of the game. I would recommend this game to anyone that likes to play puzzles, enjoys a balanced level of game difficulty, and who is looking for a game that they can invest several hours into. With that, I believe that we can conclude this review.

I hope that you found this review helpful and Thanks for reading this review.

This is an overwhelmingly honest game in terms of its content. You will immediately understand if you'll enjoy the full experience based on the store page. The game is full of tile-based switch puzzles that twist around using a small set of interesting mechanics, slowly ramping up the difficulty with move limitations available for the hardcore puzzlers among us.

I am not good at this game. Mad because bad.

Good game for the price - fairly minimal but it's got an interesting take on things.

Not really a game for me. I like puzzles but I can't get my head round these: they seem to go from trivial to guesswork without much in between...

Great game. Switch off all tiles using the least amount of moves, a little bit difficult but interesting. Relax, clear your mind and find the way out.

Good colors and UI design with smooth BGM.

I do hope that my brain is enough for WAYOUT 2.

vibratoryblurriness
vibratoryblurriness

Weak yes. If you like this sort of puzzle it does them reasonably well, and the further you go the better you have to think ahead to get the fewest number of moves. I do appreciate that you can clear the boards with however many moves it takes, but going back and making the level select screen all the same color by getting the best score on each is satisfying. I will probably never go back and finish the rest of the game though because I'm *terrible* at this kind of puzzle for some reason and they get frustrating for me beyond a certain point.

Holysword
Holysword

A great casual puzzle game based on "lights out" mechanics: each square can assume 2 states, on or off. Toggling the state of one square will toggle the state of the neighbouring squares as well. The goal is to turn them all off.

WayOut introduces some twists to this mechanics, like some squares which only toggles left/right neighbours, or marked squares which remotely toggle other marked squares. As most puzzle games, this one starts easy but starts getting devilish complicated. At the end, there were 3 levels I couldn't solve perfectly and had to resort to a guide.

Achievements are natural, but not very easy without a guide. Linux version is flawless, thanks for supporting the penguin!

Took too long to beat for my liking. I don't feel like I grasped the concept by the end. And I had to use notepad&pen at the end. This is more of a mixed review. It is a cool unique puzzle game.

Finding it very hard to learn techniques for this game, feels like far too much random clicking about for me. Level design seems to try to lead you through techniques, but doesn't seem to get it quite right. Nice music though, but is the only thing keeping me from getting too frustrated with this button pusher.

LWRCSD
LWRCSD

A fun and cheap puzzle game that will really get you to think. There are levels which you can beat in under 10 seconds while there are ones that cannot be beaten unless you think for around 30 minutes or so. Every chapter introduces a new tile which does something different when you activate them, keeping you entertained for a while.

WayOut is a simple, nicely made puzzle game.

The aim is to click fields the way all of them are in "pressed position". Clicking a field causes pressing or un-pressing nearby four fields. Rules how it works are explained in the promo video.
The game is divided in few section - each of them introduces some new special field which makes the game interesting.

There is a big number of levels. If you are smart or have some luck, you will be able to beat them with a bit of effort. Some of them though can be a pain and you can stuck for hours trying to solve them, especially if you are aiming for an optimal way to do it.

Visually the game looks neat. Despite the boards look like hand drawn they can be freely rotate in 3D, which is a really cool feature.

Moreover, the game costs almost nothing.
As long as you have a bit of patience, I recommend it.

This game is fun and very educative you will click some boxes in other to change color from red to white and make them full solid color to accomplish. The game is a bit tricky if you don't follow the pattern of the game the "hint" will be " you must be symmetrical to other side to complete the stages". This game will enhance your mental ability and focus. The music is nice and relaxing while solving the boxes. The User interface is smooth and fast response.

Noncom
Noncom

Very neat and simple game in every aspect yet still challenging and fun(mostly).

Planning your moves and completing levels just like your plans feels very nice but sadly, I can't say this for all levels. Because of you are trying to finish levels with least 'click', not being able to plan all of your moves in bigger levels can be annoying.

Except this little problem, Wayout is a nice little game that you may wanna play as puzzle lover.

4 hours and it's finally done. I thoroughly enjoyed this little puzzle game but it bothered me so much on the later levels. Getting 100% on this game is definitely a tricky one, but I managed to figure it all out. The game is fantastic fun and will make you think in ways you haven't yet in other puzzles.

100% recommend as the game is chill and the music in the background is chill. All together, chill. I liked it.

Great game!
Has very interesting mechanics and a LOT of levels
But WOW can it get difficult.

I ended up using a lot of guides, especially for the achievements of "level in least amount of moves", but I finished the secret level unguided and that felt good

Overall very fun, would absolutely recommend

Cool puzzle game, with lots of levels and a fair amount of diversity and mechanics. Some puzzles can get very complex, so this is good if you're looking for a challenge. Sometimes I feel like I don't even know how to approach some setups, so either the game is kinda crazy or I'm just a dummy.

Played on Steam Deck.

I'm not the biggest fan of 'Lights Out' puzzles and got this game to get better at them, and I feel like I am more comfortable with them now. Each of the 6 zones introduces a new mechanic and I didn't really enjoy any of them but you really do need to add a little something to not just string together a hundred regular lights out puzzles! The music is good and the background animation is nice, so the quality here is definitely worth the low price.
What did strike me as odd was that the game indicates when you have finished a puzzle in the lowest moves possible, but there was no achievement or any congratulations when finishing all the puzzles that way (epilogue puzzles too) so that kind of fell flat unfortunately, but was still a fun challenge.

Belisama
Belisama

Each level has a par number of moves and the level select screen shows which levels you've gotten par on, but the game never tells you want the par number is. If you want to know what your target is, you have to count the moves you make and then keep notes. Except, the level select screen doesn't label the levels in any way and the progression isn't linear, so good luck with that.
