I have a fun attachment to this game because it is my nephew's favorite. It is loaded at our local library and he played it on their touch screen PCs. It does a really good job of creating a family-friendly world and visuals while still being an engaging way to teach bridge/structure building.

macOS version is amazing! no trouble running on Catalina or above, super smooth performance!! HD graphics update looks so sweet on retina display
this game was part of my childhood, I pirated it then but now that I am an adult with money I ponied up the $15 and highly suggest you do too, this game is every bit as good as I remember it

This is a wonderful game. It's fun for kids. It changed my life. I was once a poor, wretched soul and now I am the President of the United States of America. Sincerely, Joe Biden.

World of Goo is a simplistic and enjoyable game. I ended up using some guides for many of the OCD in game achievements, but mostly it was just thinking outside the box. Many of the levels are very easy and fast, once you get the knack of it.

Overall, I recommend this for a fun, low stress strategy game that does not take too much to run.

A childhood favorite of mine that I played on the WII, revisiting it again on pc was the best nostalgia train i've ever ridden.

- Creative gameplay elements that really drive home the atmosphere.
- All of 2D BOY's games have their own personality, and this one is no exception. Every chapter has their own unique style that just melds together so well.
- The underlying physics of the cute little goo-balls is just satisfying, and at points really highlights the factor that weight distribution has on your... Construction? Goo mache? Pile?.... Whatever :P
- This game just has a... trip of a story, it honestly sounds crazy out of context but somehow works so well and really delivers on the unique charm it's known for.

Honestly the game is just amazing, if you're a fan of physics-based puzzle games, this one is a must-play.

An original puzzle game with great physics simulation. Love the art style. Couldn't get enough of this one.

First played this game as a kid and thoroughly enjoyed it. Played through it again as a teenager and still thoroughly enjoyed it. In my junior year of college, I (you guessed it) played this game yet again. Only this time I wrote a thirteen-page essay analyzing WOG's take on capitalism and human resilience for my Literature class and somehow still enjoyed it.

The puzzles, story, music, and art alone are more than enough to keep things engaging. Additionally, the game provides plenty of material to analyze (for those of you who enjoy that kind of stuff) without it being intrusive or obnoxious. If you enjoy puzzle games or games with lots of depth, I'd definitely recommend this to you.

7/10
Loved this game ever since playing it from when I was a kid.
The company never left my sight following into Little Inferno; another hit title.
I totally with this game was remastered and/or given a fresh perspective on gameplay.
Music is unforgettable, but replayability hurts now since there's so much more else to play.

I've played and completed this game numerous times, but it never fails to amaze me on how this game makes me feel. Sometimes I will just sit down and listen to the soundtrack, and remember nostalgia from years past.

Thank you for this game, I will never forget the memories and faces attached to this it.

This game has a great graphical aesthetic, very good music, and the levels are for the most part extremely well designed and fun. The optional OCD challenges in each level can be a bit too difficult in my opinion, but are nevertheless great.

I had no expectation going into this because it looked like one of those Bridge Simulator games but it's much better. It has more personality, it's more dynamic and it feels more creative once you get more Goos. It's quite challenging tough, maybe a little too much.

A true masterpiece of a game that I still enjoy to this day. Even after 10+ years, the game still holds up as a fun, yet challenging puzzle game for everyone to experience. For every moment and chapter, it has unique challenges for you to solve and complete in order to progress. Unique art-style, interesting story, amazing OST, it has it all.

Great game, however no settings or cutscene skipping, no option to play without fullscreen either, it's worth playing for sure, but at normal price, it's an awful deal since it's mostly just a working port with no additional modern features. I would only recommend getting it on sale unless they add settings of any sort. Older games sometimes do come with convenience features, this does not and again has no visible settings, I would love to play it outside of full screen mode with a simple setting, but such a feature does not seem to exist here, nor any volume settings or settings of any sort.
Good port, but concerning lack of any settings at all, and a high normal price.

An absolutely amazing and nostalgic gem to play. I remember this being one of my favorite games to play in the library when I was a kid and I just bought it recently on steam to play it again and it still holds up. Artstyle and the unique world-building is my favorite part of the game.

I played this game when I was a wee little boy. I played it again after I bought it here and it was as much of a joy now as it was like 10 years ago. The design, the music, the story, everything is amazing and it was so satisfying for me to finally 100% complete it after all those years. Truly a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

A classic construction game that, while it isn't very complex or challenging, stands out due to its art style, tone, and atmosphere.

The gameplay in World of Goo is very simple. It's triangle-building simulator with a few things tacked on, but hey, it doesn't get stale because of the themes of the different chapters, and the few added mechanics. Wouldn't say that I'd go achievement hunting for this game though.

The atmosphere in this game is great; the bright colors paired with overly industrial grays lead to this cheerful-yet-dreary feeling that's almost unique to World of Goo and other Tomorrow Company games.

Doesn't last too long (5-6 hours), but is a nice nostalgia trip.

Fun, good graphics and musics, the added gimmicks with new goo are interesting.

Sometimes, it can be very annoying to grab the specific goo you want with other goos in the way, especially frustrating when you're in a hurry.
some of the OCD flags (aka, extra challenges) can be very frustrating and feel inconsistent.

Overall, good fun for around 15 hours.

What a fantastic little game!

I only loaded it up because I saw there were trading cards to be claimed. The idea was to load it, have a quick play and then go surf the net while the cards drop. This idea was short lived since the game is actually instantly addictive.
I found myself playing through the first chapter with a smile on my face and a sense of inner calm. This game should have the slogan " winners don't do Goo" I still can't believe I played it for nearly two hours, the time just flew by as I played and sipped my morning Coffee.

The game itself: This is tricky to describe without making it sound crappy, since the game play and goals are very basic . So, I will give an analogy instead. Here is my analogy: Ants on the move & you are the Queen. That's it, that's all you get! lol oh & "ya mum!"

Is it worth full price? I really do not know because I have only spent 2 hours on it... so far. But, initially and based on other purchases and their instant impact, I'd have to say possibly YES. If it's on sale, it's almost definitely something to consider adding to your library even if it's for some variation.

Now, here is what YOU do. You go check out the store page, look at the game play video and then go read a proper review.

My work here is done.

One of the best puzzle games, great to look at, fun to beat, absolutely hair pulling to try to beat the "OCD" challenge in each level.

To this day one of my favorite games ever. The physics are lovely, the story is bizarre and fascinating, and I will always stand by the fact that this has one of the best video game soundtracks ever created.

Inventive, nostalgic puzzle game that can be a bit difficult sometimes. I will never not be able to hear the goo balls in my head when you pick them up.

World of Goo is enjoyable. I don't think there is anything negative to really say about this game. I enjoy just going back for the nostalgia to the free build area to see how tall I can make a stable tower.

To start with, I love this game. It is one of the most fun, challenging, and silly mobile games I've ever played.

Emphasis on "mobile"; because the Steam port of this game is pretty badly done. No windowed mode, no resolution control (yes, there's a config file hack), and most importantly, NO VOLUME CONTROL!!! This game is L-O-U-D and does not provide any option to change that.

Unless you want to have to do a bunch of config file hacking and changing your computer's volume every time you play (and back again afterwards), stick with the mobile version.

NO SETTINGS. NO SETTINGS.

You can't change the volume, you can't change the resolution, you can't run it in a window. There is literally no settings screen. Completely unacceptable.

A silly older game, definitely recommend enjoying puzzles if you're going to buy this game.
Also you need to be able to tolerate not instantly solving things, especially if you're going for OCD.

The most profound game to ever touch my life. Since I first bought this on my Wii however many years ago this started me on a journey of questioning the struggles I was facing with dissociation and abandonment, and this game helped uncover so many parts of me to where I would not be as good of a person as I am today without this game. To the maker of World of Goo: Thank you for making the most impactful piece of media that I've ever experienced. This game will forever be the most meaningful thing I have ever owned
