I've just seen that there is a new update (Pioneer) and I've decided to try the game again. This new update changes the game, but in a good way. You have goals now, and to me, that makes it more fun.

Too hard and therefore not fun: I started a new game, gradually building a little world. I disturb a zombie and then two appear, then four. They destroy my base even though I am well out of sight and then that's it - I lose everything. The zombies are too aggressive and ferocious for the early game.

It is a shame because the concept and art work is really interesting.

Also, please consider making the game playable with a controller.

I revisited this game since it appears the game is being worked on. The UI has gone thru an overhaul and it looks different.....but the game is in disrepair......it's much worse than before.
You can't even pick up items if they land on the ground. The best part was I had to do a hard reset because it froze......

The latest update was cool but the game is still insanely grindy. I'm not sure if the devs are listening because this was a big issue and still is. You won't get more than a few hours of gameplay here, unless you really like mindless grinding. Also, the new mode has too many zombies right off the bat, and they respawn too quickly.

Game is not close to done. Clunky controls, missions you cannot complete (Salted pork), and all together disappointing for a game that has been out for more than 2 years.

Just finished the tutorial, and it's VERY FUN! There are some menus in Korean, but gameplay is super fun, and I can't wait to sit down and grind some hours into this!

So I've been playing for about 3 hours and here's my thoughts. The game is exactly as advertised, a game where you run around and collect resources and build up a base and upgrade your character while trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. It's been very fun, but I find it to be very challenging. I've been playing in the "Pioneer Mode" which is the more relaxed mode compared to the "Challenge Mode". I've died to starvation several times due to food being a very hard to find resource and gardening takes way too long to be useful in the beginning stage. Most of my runs have been around 10-20 minutes. Once you start gathering NPC's they also need to eat or the zombify and kill each other. The zombies are challenging, but manageable. The starting base is great. Overall I would recommend it, but the difficulty of finding food makes the early stage very hard. I would still recommend the game though to people who are interested in the genre. If anyone has any tips that'd be great as well, I would love to be wrong.

The gameplay is fun, the crafting aspect makes it enjoyable to build upon and build yourself in strength with a range of weapons. Melee sucks, there's no way to avoid a hit with a dodge unless fighting a range oriented zombie. I feel it should add something to the building of furniture, something like fallout maybe that lets you build housing for survivors. I made it far enough to know you can recruit others so being able to customize surroundings like this would be favorable. I also didn't know how to make water besides coming from a faucet I found which eventually broke down. I kinda want to be able to make my character besides skin color, something like terraria. All that aside good game, I just get an empty world feeling when there isn't much to interact with besides the use of tools. Honestly, I can see this becoming something like enter the gungeon styled combat. Good game hope to see it grow.

Dunno what all the mixed reviews are for since the artwork is gorgeous. However the biggest complaint I guess is the difficulty level, since the devs still haven't figured to balance things out from korean difficulty to regular gaijin difficulty, but with their addition of pioneer mode it shows that the devs actually recognize this problem so hopefully it will be fixed by the end product.
All in all its a solid tech demo at least that shows their capabilites.

Honestly the first time I played Zelter, it was a major disappointment. But, now that I have given it another chance months later, it was greatly improved and I had a really fun time playing it! Great job devs, I'd love to see more come in the future!

Game is super hard in pioneer mode you get a spear to stab zombies... but if you run away from them you start a giant pile and you can't escape them meaning death. As a new player to the game if you also get hit by the zombie you get infected, it also seems like you can dodge but not dodge at the same time. In addition to that if you can manage to dodge some of the zombies you might run out of food and water so you die anyways. If there is something you can do to fix it I'll change my review but until then it will remain.

JPlea$ant

I bought this game shortly after release and given the early access, we all expect a few bugs.
I have reported and re reported several of these bugs (including game breakers of which there are a few) all to radio silence.
The developers have left this game in early access for literally years and show no signs of maintaining any semblance of commitment to it or its players.
I hate to write a scathing review but for what it is and what it costs and how it runs and its prospects for improvement,
I would hate even more to see another poor soul tricked into paying n early $25 for this slice of shit.
If the game ran without bugs bugging up the controls and playable characters, it MIGHT be worth a heavy sale.,

Honestly what got my attention was the pixel art, and zombies! Pretty cool!

Gathering: While I do enjoy breaking stuff down, which is pretty much anything, what you get vs item hp isn't what I'd call balanced. Some things take way too long to break for very lil. Zombies have good hearing I guess cuz they always rush to me when I try to forage, especially at night. Being able to break down the things you build so you can either recycle parts from it or even just move it around would be nice instead of them dropping nothing and only being destroyed. Once you put something down its just there forever. Lastly, looting should be a more prominent feature like other survivals like being able to search fridges in other houses, cabinets, or even dead bodies of other survivors.

Crafting: It's one of the things in this game I feel that's pretty solid. Could definitely use more variety, but I'm sure in later updates, it'll get more stuff you can make.

Combat: The guns are nice, and they hit decently hard while having drawbacks depending on what you use. Only having a spear and a few others is a bit worrying, some more variety in close combat weapons would be nice. Zombies themselves aren't too bad to fight, until you get swarmed. Not a whole lot you can do about it.

Zombies (PvP): A way to know more about your enemy would be nice since a lot of them have personality to them, like an enemy log. My only complaint with them is that they home in on you too well, and once they THINK, there's an enemy in a direction they will start breaking stuff and rarely give up the chase which sucks even if you break line of sight. A lot of them can outrun you and add more zombies to the chase which can be very unforgiving. In all honesty, it's a pain and a chore. That needs some working on to balance zombies out. Why would you want to fight, you lose bullets, much needed health, and gain infection when getting hit even just a lil bit. What do you get in return?? A few bones and coins. Yeah no, that's hardly fun for anyone. they just spill stuff, being able to get better rewards while also making them less annoying to fight is the key to making us as the player want to actually take the idea of engaging them especially when you make it so that we are forced to fight them at times even at the start of the game when we don't have much of anything to work with.

NPCs: I wanna say that NPCs should NOT be the main focus of this game. It should be optional but this game forces it on you for missions, sometimes they just spawn in even no doors are opened, they just draw zombies in large crowds and suddenly you have to deal with them, you have no options. If they spawn in your 'home' area they will destroy a lot of your stuff. I've grown to ignore NPCs cuz I don't get much reward for helping them. You have to deal with zombies cuz of them and whatever damage they cause, another mouth to feed when again there's not much to do about food, and when they die, you pretty much die because they get turned into a pretty strong and fast zombie which can kill you quicker than some bosses, on top of the zombies that killed the NPC that will also be all over you. You rarely have the resources to be able to save a lot of people, and when I try, I always die regardless of pioneer mode or challenge on any difficulty.

Status: It's really just the items you get and can get that make it not fun to deal with them. This isn't even including infection which can be dialed down cuz that's the most unfun thing about your character and NPC's. The way to cure yourself is very not user friendly, and a bit too hard when you cant find the right plants cuz they are very rare and hardly grow at all even in places that you should fine plenty of them. Infection at the moment makes it very hard to enjoy the game cuz it climbs too fast, and is too hard to cure or even lower, the booster item hardly helps cuz it costs a lot to make, and only is good if your about to get into a fight which u cant always be prepared for. So if hunger doesn't kill you, then infection will. That too, it's a bit too fast when it comes to hunger, you never have enough resources, and it drains way too fast. Humans can survive for 3 days without food n water, so how much sense does it makes that I can't go even 1 day without loads of food and water??

Pioneer Mode: This mode you get a base of your own though it's always the same base and same location which isn't that fun when die a lot and have to go to the same place and do the same things, has very little replay value once you lose everything, it could use more randomly generated areas, like how a lot of survival games are, and because it's a pixel game it can be done more doable then a 3D survivor game. It has no difficulty and says it's easier but I find that untrue. Trees and rocks break easier in challenge modes, so it doesn't make sense for a 'relaxed' mode to have these things be harder to break. It's lil things like that that give you the fun that minecraft has that this game could have but it doesn't cuz its just a hassle to do certain things. Pioneer just needs to be as it says, 'relaxed' cuz it's anything but that.

Challenge Mode: The better mode in my opinion but is really only doable in novice which says a lot about it. Novice difficulty in terms of how you break stuff down, kill enemies, and survive in general should be the normal difficulty, and not the easy. Survival doesn't need to be easy, just doable. I do like how you get put in a diff spot with diff items at the start but again the difficulty of surviving on top of having to help NPC's and somehow get a base built makes any mode almost impossible to do cuz you'll just get killed sooner or later without getting very far.

Base Building: Or lack there of, there isn't really any base building which takes the fun out of the game if your just wandering around everywhere. You need a base if you wanna be able to survive, have a place to store stuff, and save NPCs. Being able to use an existing building as a base should be more doable cuz every time I do I just get broken in to and die. Since all your tables and stuff are standing objects, you can't take them with you not can you break down to transport like in mine craft making it impossible to do much of anything without having one single place to live in.

Pacing: The main offender is the pacing. From dropping down immediately and having to survive which is what I like. It's just the number of things the game expects you to do at the start which makes it hard. Gathering takes a while, and you'll need a lot to craft anything as well as repair. Finding food is much too difficult and sometimes looking for food will just get you killed, so food becomes a problem day one and continues to be. Water on the other hand is fairly ez to handle once you know how to craft. NPCs are expected to be saved on drop sometimes which is very not possible cuz of lack of resources, and it takes so long to get enough resources to just be stable and have enough tables ti make stuff but I can only get that far by ignoring NPcs and never interacting with them but the perks they give is nice so often I'll find myself talking to them for perks and than leaving them for dead cuz the game as it is is too hard for it to be worth saving them.

Final Thoughts:
Between the time of day, infection, finding food, making shelter (name of the game btw), helping NPCs, fighting zombies, crafting and gathering, there's a lot of fault here but so much potential. I bothered to write all this cuz I feel this game can be so much more, and I wanna see it be a better game that others will wanna play. As it stands, there's a lot that needs work but I believe it can get there. Here's hoping it'll continue to be worked on and become a game I can get really invested in. These flaws aside, I've enjoyed the game for what it is!!

Very difficult and frustrating. Dark Souls is easier than this game. Their new mode "Pioneer" is not chill in the slightest as they claim. Nor does it have anything to do with pioneering. I'm thinking about refunding it and hoping they someday make a mode that's actually chill. I would love to see a custom difficulty so i can play the way I want to. Will happily buy again and change my review once things get more custom. Because I do enjoy all the other mechanics. Just not the dying all the time. Reload Simulator anybody?

Essentially looks like a team trying to pull something that could be a gem out of a straight nose dive. Problem is it took an entire community screaming rip off and abandon ware for a year before anything got done. Look at when this game was released. They have gotten about 30 good reviews since the re release. Im calling it that because it got few minor bug fixes and was plastered all over steam. Its got potential to be a great game but it needs more quests, more things to do, more tiers to the creation trees. They literally all tease 3 T but most cap out at 2. Pioneer mode which is supposed to prove the game has some playablitlty aside from a 3 hour long mad dash completion game which would have a difficulty curve above what i think most casual players would willing put themselves through. While I personally love to play this unless you have the kind of brain where you like a collectathon that is constantly trying to whipe you from the planet than go for it. however for the exact same thing with more to do and an active comunity where even if updates are behind the mod support is on point due to a massive active comunity who gets to talk to their devs not corprat markerters getting caught pretending to be them. Go with project zomboid. I gave it a good chance im at 90 hours but the updates are insulting its not a patch to slide health bars around. Its a balance, and this one has so little impact on the game its obviously cover.

The game has potential but the devs do not have a clue on what to do for the game past the early access since pre release fans have told them that a multiplayer feature would do wonders for the games popularity but they hid that plus a lot of other basic thing's you would expect for a game like this behind stretch goals. They wanted a bag of cash before having a 1.0 release of a product which just shows that they are not committed to the project but to the money. I do not see this going anywhere save your money or go buy SOD2 which delivers a way better experience than what this game is doing.

Fun game, requires some planning and constant saving to move forward without frustration

To amend this review, doesn't matter how much you plan....the moment you sleep and save you have to use all your resources to fend off the zombies that build up while you're sleeping and makes all your progress meaningless, needs to be changed or all you will do is rage once you run out of supplies you built up to make it through the saved point

I love the approach these developers are going with regarding the game, for an EA game it's pretty good. The only problem I've been facing is the amount of loot gained when exploring and the re-spawn rate of the zombies, for example:

1. Whenever I leave my base for more materials, it seems like I return with less than what I originally took with me like ammo. Yes I know arrows are cheap to make, however they take time to make, leading to my second problem..

2. The re-spawn rate for the zombies is incredibly fast, I'll clear a block from zombies but in doing so I take time usually resulting in me continuing at night where they instantly re-spawn. So now I'm left with no choice but to waste expensive ammo and in doing so having to use the materials gained from said expedition to craft more ammunition, usually resulting with less than what I originally had due to the fact that time was spent clearing zombies and not so much looting.

I believe a way to fix this would be to add a difficulty setting where you choose either how often zombies spawn OR how strong the zombies are regarding their health and/or damage they deal to you. OR add an incredibly op weapon that can one shot zombies with a reasonable cost for materials to make, like a better compound crossbow that still takes arrows made out of wood and out of stone, just to give stone more value.

The game was still very enjoyable and I can't wait to see what else the developers might add. I have very high hopes for this game.

Just completed first run-through. Mixed feelings on this one.
Overall opinion: Not a bad game, but not sure if worth $20. $10 would have been more fair.
I'm giving it the "thumbs-up" in the hopes that the game will have enough traction to improve.

Positives:
- Considering the game is EA, it's pretty well along. Playable product.
- Good mix of simple concept, just enough resource variety and tech tree, simple controls.
- Graphics are serviceable, works well for the play style.

Negatives:
- No quest system or guide to get new players started.
- Need to work on enemy balance, spawns, AI.
- LOTS of room for improvement, even in basic gameplay and mechanics.
- Plays like a game at Alpha stage, ~65%.
- Base game is there; but needs re-balance and a couple core tweaks.

Given another 6-12 months of real development, could turn into a solid game.
Will leave a longer detailed review in the forum.

Don't buy this game AND IF YOU BOUGHT IT AND STILL CAN DO IT PLEASE REFUND THIS. The game art is good and colorful and a couple of fun hours, but after a few hours you've already experienced everything there is to eperience in this game. In the half year I have owned this game there has been nothing new. Don't buy this game, the developers have stopped caring long ago.

It's a fairly competent game, but the lack of attention or updates from the devs is frankly a bit annoying. I can understand that small studios are hard pressed to patch games sometimes, and that this sort of pressure isn't always the best. But I truly did have hopes for this charming game, just at the moment it isn't quite living up to the standards it's setting out for.

*edited review - May 2022*

After over a year without updates, most players, myself included, had given up all hope that this game would eventually get finished, and it looked completely abandoned up until December 2021.
It is still uncertain what exactly caused that development void back then, and what caused them to pick it back up in December, but to everyone's surprise : they did.

The devs now have a very tough challenge ahead of them after all the backlash they received last year, and rebuilding their reputation and the players' trust will not be easy, as so much damage as been done.

Picking up the broken pieces of their initial release, they have remade the game almost from scratch and released a decent and promising demo in December. Another update came in February followed by a third one in March.

I have to say it feels like a completely different team is in charge now, as they seem to take people's feedback into consideration a lot and are acting upon it. I made a long feedback post on their Discord back in December, and even though it seemed at first like nobody really read it, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they addressed most of the issues I had pointed out back then. Of course it could just be a coincidence and maybe those changes were already planned to begin with, but either way I was quite happy about it.

So where is Zelter now ? How is the game ?

Well first off, this version actually works. The current public test only offers one of the two main game modes the devs are planning, and it seems that specific mode is not what most people seem to expect from the game.

These two modes are "Challenge" mode and "Pioneer" Mode.

Challenge, the only available mode at the moment is a hardcore, permadeath, race against the clock type of game. The goal is to extract civilians from a zombie-infected city by protecting them until a helicopter comes to rescue them. The first 3 days let you settle in, gather ressources and craft weapons before the first heli. After this, it comes every night, each time increasing the difficulty of the extraction by throwing bigger and tougher waves of enemies at you. After a number of days you reach the final day where you leave alongside the helicopter and finish your run (assuming you didn't die prior).
I'm personally enjoying it, but it is not the case for everyone : the timed-based nature of the mode doesn't allow for a lot of freedom and exploration is restricted and punishing because of it. A big issue at current is the fact you can't save your game : if you want to play you have to commit around 2 hours to a run, you can't save your progress and resume the next day. That is apparently coming in the next update.
I find it to be good fun, with decent pacing between super intense extractions and calmer moments in between, although the difficulty needs adjustment, current "easy" mode should be the normal difficulty, and the current normal and hard difficulties are somewhat overtuned.

Pioneer mode, is what most people seem to be waiting for, and is still in the works at the time I'm writing this edited review. Due its absence, I considered leaving the rating negative, yet after all that happened I would feel bad giving a negative review now that they're finally doing the right thing, and the game is finally starting to shape itself up. So I want to encourage the devs a bit with some positivity, but keep in mind that Steam's way of doing "YES/NO" reviews is terrible, nothing is ever black or white, and the game still has quite a long way to go before reaching its full potential.
This mode, from my understanding, would be more akin to a sandboxey survival game with no time limit and more freedom. It is a lot closer to what was initially advertised Zelter would be. It's hard to say much about it until we get our hands on it, so I'll leave it there, but I'm really looking forward to it.

So, should you buy ?

My personal recommendation would be to wait for Pioneer's mode release. It is, I think, what most people are looking for with this game.
If you decide to get it now despite my advice : after downloading the game, make sure to right-click it > Properties > Betas then type in the following code : CBTMarch2022
For some reason, if you don't, what you will get is the old irrelevant version from 2 years ago, and it doesn't work at all. I have no idea why they don't present their customers with the current build right off the bat, especially when the old version is such a bad product.

Cheers for reading

you know, in the past few weeks there has been a storm of hate around this game, and i find that really unfair.
I played 5 hours on the first day of getting it and besides the minor glitched frames, random crashes and other bugs this is by far a really nicely put together game. But what makes the game bad is its overall community. I've heard from recent reviews about "they just ran off with the money" or "this is just some ripoff of stardue valley". it is really unfair to the creators and the community that people think of the game as another farming sim, but if you want some stone facts about the difference is that stardue valley was originally made by a college student and the game was just a bit of coding, untill it blew up in the past week and that's when the game got more updates. but Zelter is made by a whole group of game developers who have spent a year of hard work to give us this game. it is still in early release and it is already way better than most realistic zombie games I've played, so i find it really unfair that people are judging the game off of other complete games.
From what im saying from this is the game itself is really good and has alot of potential, but whats hiding that potential is the community, so if we all did our part to brighten the status of this game, we might have updates out faster and a much better community

Don't even bother buying this game, dev has no communication so no one knows where development is at, no roadmap. And for those who think I don't know what EA means. I've EA many many games Rimworld since A4. Flotsam since launch, Surviving the Aftermath since launch. You get about 2-3 hours of gameplay. My gameplay hours are higher because game broke my save in endless loading screen. These Dev think EA access mean it's free rein to "UI Improvement and Bug Fix" for 6 months. Discord saying patch expected in the near future next one or 2 weeks. 2 Weeks later guess what it's another "UI Improvement and Bug Fix". Make useless statements saying will be more "news" later in April, it's now June. Haven't heard a single thing. Spend your money elsewhere

This game saved my life.

I am 45.

My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and adopted our son together. They are now both 4 years old.

When we were going through our separation, I found myself lost and miserable. I was self destructive. I got so mad one day from everything spiralling out of my control that I punched some concrete in a moment of overwhelming emotion. That caused me to break my 5th metacarpal in my right hand... my working hand... my games hand.. the hand that I held and carried my children to bed with.. The hand I desperately needed to make sure I could continue to provide.

After learning of the severity of my self-inflicted damage, I was borderline suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man with no history of depression or anxiety. I have never had fits of rage, or been one to break down and cry, but I was in a low spot that just really buried me from being able to see the light on the other side.

Having nothing better to do, I searched for a game I could play, ONE HANDED while I recovered. I somehow stumbled upon this game and read some of the reviews. I decided that it had to be worth a shot... I must admit, I didn't beat the game, or play nearly as long as some of you. In fact, I may have only played this game a day or two.. With that being said, after doing so, I had a new found joy and hope for life. I was able to put behind me the pain and suffering that had been cast over me. I was able to experience other peoples joy and happiness. I was able to see the fruits of my "labor". I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minutes to this music long enough to realize that I was going to be okay.

After coming to that realization, I turned the game off, and I went back to work. It hurt my hand like hell but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so damn sorry for myself, and I became the father I needed to be in that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving as.

Today, I am close friend with my kids mother. We don't fight, or argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents, and friends.

I now have 3 kids. My third child is, wait for it, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my own separation, and we just stumbled in to each others life unexpectedly. We have been in a relationship for a year now, and are very happy together.

Moral of the story, you never know what life holds in store for you, and if I would have given up when all the odds were stacked against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Thank you.

The devs had a good idea on the game but its sad to see that this game isn't cared much for and just thrown away, this could've been something if they haven't given up so early

Dusk knight

i enjoyed it, for what it was. an early access game in which the developers are still working on. art is cute, gameplay is fun. there are a few things that can be worked on, but its still in development. i can tell from what there is in the game, the devs clearly love this project. i can see the final outcome being something amazing.

only thing i actually dont like at all is melee. basically if you dont have ammo, the game punishes you, since its impossible to melee an enemy without taking damage yourself (but ammo is fairly cheap to craft. so it works out anyway).

all in all, its not buggy (least not for me), and has a solid start for a great game. cant wait to see more

Horrible developer team that constantly says they are working on it but have not put out ANYTHING since I bout the game in October 2020. I gave them a lot of time because they had a plan but so far it takes them over a month to fix 1 save issue, 1!

There is no content to this game beyond some basics.

They are a bad team, you should not buy this game unless you like to be strung along. Go play DYSMANTLE if you want a good zombie game in EA: https://store.steampowered.com/app/846770/DYSMANTLE/

Lorthiz

Just for statistics.
I bought the game when it launched in EA and it was in poor shape back then, but you know it's EA, first release etc... I just let it slide that time, but up to now thera are no proper content updates, lack of proper bug fixes, silence from the developer about current state of the game except some PR messages for damage mitigation. I can't get back my money but meaby I can save someone elses.
This really looked like something I wanted to play and see improve over time shame it fell flat on it's promise.

i like the style and gameplay. i give a positive review because i think this game has potential and in hope it gets developed further.

so far the game is nice and stable but barebones. it needs some balancing and more content (craftables, items, a xp/lvl/skill system would be nice, maybe a story...you get what i mean).

i understand why people loose their patience and give bad reviews at a price of 20€. i for myself think a game is woth its price in a 1€ per hour fashion. so if you get 20h of gameplay for 20€ then its quite balanced. at the moment i go sth about 3h maybe i play another 2h but i pretty much expienced the whole content exept companions and feel there is not much to do in the game and am loosing the fun of playing it.

Please dont buy this game till its fully released...!

Edit: 1st of all I bought this game to support it, for how different and nice it was and hoping that the game il grow big and nice but the slow updates and the updates itself not containing that much of big changes has made it boring but I think im being harsh and the devs are putting in effort to get this done and I hope the best for them. All the best..! This game can be very big and can have loads of things in it , to play and have fun or i dont know if im having too much ideas of what the game can be in the future.

Anyways there has been no post since April 16th 2021 but I saw a post where it says the devs are working on it to give a huge update than the smaller once and might take some months. So people , do give it a try or wait for sometime or just forget this game for 1 year and then come back later and have a taste of it...!

Game appears to have already been abandoned by Devs. Devs promised major update due in April, and as of July there has been no additional news or updates. A shame too, a little bit of work and this could have been a solid zomboid-like game.

Super fun game! Love the crafting and enjoy the survive rate. Gives me stress, but in an apocalypse game that is perfect! I put all hours into one character and haven't gotten far story wise, though that is my own fault. I just enjoy learning the town map and building new small shelters. It's a comfy game to just play and survive in. Stress out over. It's a lot of fun and I can't wait to see where this game takes us!

Great game Loved it, hope the Devs doesn't get Discourage cause of the people who are impatient. just wanted to clarify that the game is still in it's stage of development, so i for one would support this game wholeheartedly. As this is one of "THE" best post-apocalyptic game that needs support in it's early Development.

Hope the Devs at least see's this, as i would like to say please keep developing this awesome game and i kindly request that put "Glock pistol" so that people that loves using handguns can progress through the game.

Hell i'd even buy every DLC pack of this game just to support this game.

The Idea of the game is Great! Very interesting to say the least, but there is something that's bothering me, Ive made the backpack that holds the most and there's no way to Equip the bag. Maybe its glitched for now but it needs some work. Other than the lack of bag space the game is pretty cool and I would recommend this to everyone!

DON'T BUY THIS GAME. This game is abandoned. Last update was in April and was only a promise for a real update in May. May has obviously passed and nothing has been communicated or updated since. Even if they pick this game up again in the future they have proven themselves untrustworthy.

find new allies and survive a endless horde of zombies
except I explored half the map, equipped the best gear and even battled a Giant zombie and I have yet to find
a single survivor in any restart.
Edit: I just found 3 survivors but they are more of a burden then they are useful as they eat your progress and give you nothing as your reward. just hire a spike barricade, they are more reliable survivors.

I really like the concept, and very much enjoyed playing the game when it came out I did finish the content I dont know why it says I only have 1 and a half hours playing as I definitely spent more than 5 hours finishing it. However I am unable to give a positive review seeing as they promised an update in april if I recall correctly, then proceeded to delay, delay and delay. They have not posted any new progress updates on steam although I last checked in september or august and they had some monthly logs linked somewhere. However they have not linked these logs in proper steam news so I am unable to find them again. After no word for this long, I am inclined to believe they are not working on the game at all and have either put it on hiatus or completely dropped it. Now, if theyre going to abandon a game thats all fine and dandy although disappointing for such a promising piece, HOWEVER they have lied to the player base stating that they are in fact working on a massive update that they will release all together. Now as someone slightly familiar with the industry and similar games to this, there isnt an update that takes this long for such a game unless they are attempting to fully complete it or a member of their team has been unable to work, such as the person creating the sprites and pixel art, their story director, or their main programmer. Even then they have not mentioned any such thing. Currently this game has content worth 10 bucks max. 20 bucks is overpriced especially when they are not pushing updates. I firmly regret hopping on at the day of release, if you dont mind losing 20 bucks for nothing, go for it otherwise just avoid it and dont hope for future updates.

let me start by saying this game could be great. However i got this game i would say back in or around march of 2021 if i remember correctly and i sunk some time into it and came to realize there was not really much to do (i understand it a early access title) but as far as i can see this game has little to no support at all there was an "update" on the status of the game in April this year and nothing since this is upsetting because now im out $20 not much in the grand scheme of things but still
i understand things happen and life takes us to different places i guess what im saying is don't waste the money the developer has clearly given up on this title unfortunate for those of us who cant refund it

Frission
Frission

I created a category in my Library named "Terrible" -- this is an honored member of that list. :I

Attempted to refund many times but the dev is content to let steam's automatic 'lul you played for more than 2 hourzzz' filter deflect any refund attempts, despite other developers being happy to help you out with that with as much as 10 hours played ( Probably because these days 2 hours doesn't even get you past the fxxing tutorial )

So yeah. Bad game. Bad return policy. Just plain bad. Stay away.

It's basically like if Stardew Valley and 7 Days to Die had a baby.

Don't let the adorable pixel art fool you; this game can be brutal. Though melee weapons exists, ranged combat is the only viable option. The combat motion is pretty slick, and you'll find yourself balancing engagements between resource finding and crafting in order to survive.

There isn't too much of a base building element, defences are pretty limited, meaning you will be having to actively defend your home against random zombie attacks. Finding NPC allies to recruit into your camp is pretty essential as they can do large crafting chores for you. If you keep them well-equipped, they are also pretty solid in a fight.

My only issues:
-I wish there were more defence options to build, maybe something to use up all that excess stone?
-Lack of multiplayer. This would be a perfect multiplayer experience!

I love the cute art style of this game. not to mention the crafting mechanics and grid is more interesting than the other games. I just wish more time was put in like adding new clothing items that require better crafting methods. As well as adding new furnace options for better materials. a personal complaint for me is the slowly but surely higher tier zombies near your home but like i said that's just a personal complaint. I would also love to see doors being added to the game. Having a zombie break your door in your base and not able to replace it seems a bit odd. Other than the tiny complaints plus suggestions, This game well deserves my attention and appreciation. Its far different than other zombie games and i would love to see it get more attention and updates to make it even more fun.

this game is pretty decent cute art style , controls seem fine to me , but it also has some bad points
1 the time of day goes too quickly , not much time to go around town and scavenge for things
2 your stamina drains really quickly and you have to rest
3 you dont get many crafting materials after you chop trees down or other things etc..etc...

i could go on, im pretty sure the devs have stopped working on this? lol
but anyways cute style of a game but not recommended yet.

First of all, it is a game that was originally played first, so it is still playing. There is an old Chinese saying that "a watched pot never boils", so wait. It's a good game. cheer up, official .

overall i like the game, VERY... very addictive game, however, this is because i know it is in the Early Access stage, here are (till now) my experience:-
- Bug need to be fixed!!! i slept in a building and when i woke up in the morning the house is not see-through ... i had hard times to be able to leave the house.
- even though there is provision to use controller, MANY ( and i mean MANY) tools and features need to be done by clicking the mouse or using the letters in the keyboard.
- the character is not changing it face toward a direction when i'm moving to another direction (i mean when i'm not using the Right analog), it stick to the previous direction (which many times is annoying).
- i hope the right analog will direct the character face instead of moving the pointer.
