I have purchased thsi game attracted by the unusual look, i assumed it would be more focused on the gameplay than on its visual appeal, but after playing it quite a lot i must say all my expectations were disappointed.

The biggest flaw of thsi game IMO concerns the lack of a real storyline. it's totally fragmented, all the characters you meet have their own stories, but nothing is really developed, has no narrative appeals, it just feels like "side quest" without a true connection supporting the main story.
- most of the features regarding items, their progress and use (items, scoria, weapons) has no explanation, you simply have to spend a lot of time to find out how to do things and you often make discoveries by pure coincidence.

Some of my considerations
-scoria (the main and only resource, like gold) can be stashed in your chest , but how do you use it ? Yes, press "R" and its value gets credited to you . but you can only use it when it's in your inventory. There are short notes on some items, why not giving a short descritpion on how to use it ?
- items you get, CAN'T be sold. you can only buy, this is by far the most senseless thing i ever saw in a game of this kind when survival and development are basically depending on trade, at least at the beginning

- you stumble upon countless pottery pieces and you can break them all: but NOTHING is ever inside, they're all empy, so i wonder : what the heck are they being placed around for ?

- lanterns : their descriptions says that old warriors placed them on the ground to enlighten the area to fight: too bad you can only keep them in hand and give up shield protection, and YOU ARE VERY WEAK, even with an armor on.

- Armors : you can NOT UPGRADE them, unlike weapons, also wearing an armor draws an INCREDIBLE amount of stamina, which literally means that fighting with a medium-heavy armor on leaves you without energy to fight. And items refilling stamina during fights are really slow to use.
how can a strong tempered warrior suffer THAT MUCH the weight of an armor ? Is he supposed to remain the peasant he is at teh beginning of the game ? UNTHINKABLE, after all that fights your strenght should scale consistently and the weight of an armore become way less important.
developers assume that a all-day-fighter would maintain his feeble physical strenght along his whole life ?

- MAP is very essential, not providing any real guide and confusing in its colors and pan-scale features. by far the worst i've seen in all the games i played.

- VIDEOS: very few, very essential, not adding a real value to the game only a sterile addition to introduce main fights

-ENEMIES are so boring, only a few of them have been (well) created, but they're all the same everywhere with a few variations. Other than that the lands you run or walk through are completely EMPTY, only villains are walking these lands ?

THUMBS UP FOR
- you can use different companions and their charateristics, companions can be AI or real players (but not much people is playing the game apparently as it's very rare to play with human companions)
you can call them by pressing "T" , but when you keep T pressed some signal seems being broadcasted, and ...nothing happens : what's that for ?!? No explanation found...

- design is appealing and the game is nearly perfect i only stumbled upon a single bug

- the idea of using complete dark to hide enemies and forcing you to hold a lamp is intriguing.

- the idea of adding houses to the main village while game developes it's very nice and would deserve much more attention, everything it's just so static. none moves, none does anything, there are no meaningful sounds...nothing gives you the feeling of a living community.

- SECOND life chance: another nice add to the game, you can "die" a first time and be healed by your companion if he's still alive, or you can do the same with him. Well thought.

- HAVING to recover the scoria you dropped when you die it's frustrating, sometimes it's so far from the respawn point that you die before getting onsite and it gets LOST, COMPLETELY...
maybe a way to mean that you must be very careful to do not loose it, but really guys...i lost so much of it taht it simply made me ragequit a number of times. You may or may not appreciate this, i'm unsure about i feel regarding thsi.

Conclusions : i don't know if i'll end the game, i appreciate the realism of fights, getting damaged when you fight it's what you expect when you are in a riot, but all considered a good armor should mitigate the damage. As a matter of fact even when you are in late progress game you are still as fragile as you were at the beginning, nothing changed, the game fights should be definitely rethinked- remodulated- improved.

State semplicemente camminando su 3 sassi?

HAve yet to complete the game, but I am 20h in and I have to say this is a pretty good game! This is like dark souls with simpler mechanics and a positive lore. I especially love the positive lore. Always found hard to play a depressing game like Dark Souls. Also, geodata are perfect in this game, and pretty consistent. After 20h I can tell if I can climb a rock with a bug jump just by looking at it. Oh, right, you can also jump! This add a lot of depth to your gameplay.
Also, unlike dark souls, it doesn't have those annoying invasions. Never liked being invaded while exploring and managing resources. Coop online is also fantastic because they take the role of the NPC always following you. I usually stay in offline mode, but I got stuck in a difficult dungeon where my AI companin kept suiciding on a bridge. I tried online coop and had a feeling of true accomplishments when we both managed to not only advance, but also kill the boss first try, with the last sliver of hp remaining.

Don't go through the first cave. There is no reward in the end if you can't interact with red pools...

This is the most fun I have with a game in a long time.

Only downside to me is the low number of weapon movesets, and the low storace space. Would have preferred not to ditch old items to make room for new ones... Would never have used those though...

An underrated gem.

I have played this game three times (twice on the Ep*c Store, where multiplayer stopped working around a year ago and one here on Steam, so I paid it twice). I played it alone the first time, then the following two with a friend.
I have probably spent the same time listening to the soundtrack and had the pleasure of talking to the composer as well. What a journey.
This is a criminally underrated gem.

This is kinda a decent souls game. Nice graphics, decent level design, but quite simple structure overall. Interesting the choice of forcing cooperative play in some parts, but the fact that the community is dead because the epic 1year exclusive and the terrible design ai of the companions it actually makes it worse. It doesn't even has mod support. If you really liked dark souls and want to play something very very similar with some novelty you can try to get it at 70% but you'll be overall disappointed after a few hours
