Beautiful atmosphere, Beautiful game. What an opportunity to make a great game here. Immersion pulled me in so fast.
However, there are a handful of problems that makes me quit and not want to play.
The flashlight turns off the second you try to sprint. The mouse invert y-axis setting does not save when leaving the settings menu. Puzzles need flushing out. WAY TOO MUCH walking around going .. HUH?? player feed back on a project like this is a must have. I imagine the developer knows 100 percent of the game so they would be blind to the player experience after working so hard on the game. Really liked how my mind was excited to play this game. ultimately lost and board too fast, only three-four pages of notes for the story are too far apart to keep me on my toes as what's going on and where to go feelings. Nice start. I hope to hear everyone playing this awesome game in the future. just needs some work at the moment.
9% of players have taken 1000 steps in this game. And that's about all I took. Gameplay is slow. You can only run 13 steps and you're walking again. I found a key that opened a dead end room, walked some more and a locked door magically opened up. Got stalked by this enemy who only walks but you can't get far from his because... you can only run 13 steps. I paused for a while and ate some food. Unpaused and walked in circles for about 30 minutes, got really bored and uninstalled. If I can't run you have to give me a way to defend myself. At least let me block. Oh, almost forgot. The key bindings weren't set. I had to restart the game and then I could't walk forward so I restarted again. It finally worked. The flashlight dies after about 45 seconds of continuous use and I didn't see any batteries.
Was this game even tested fully? There are doors that allow you to run right off the map into an endless void. I would also like to point out that this monster cannot go through some open doors, blocking your path completely. With this game being permanent death, there's no way to get out of that situation anymore. I'll change my review once these fixes are made, they are essential.
Edit: Seems like a patch was made, so i'll change the review.
