Short, I would wish to say fantastic, but just good game. 5 stages, few weapons, clear inspiration taken from NES games like Contra, Battletoads and few other minor games.

+ Contra alike!
+ Battletoads Turbo Tunnel (Unless You hate it!)
+ Variety of colors!

- I got Contra vibes, but those are washed off later on
- Short and annoying in few places
- Depending on color palette, hard to read the screen sometimes

I got more or less something I wanted, as well as part of gameplay I wanted to completely avoid. Achievements are just for playing the game, nothing special. On a sale, why not? Give it a go!

This game is so addictive and satisfyingly fun! 4K to 8K graphics are great but even a graphically pixels game like this one is even better and default winner in replayability value that guarantee to keep you coming back for more!

I love great games with doggies because I'm more of a dog lover. I like other animals too, but dogs mostly are the most loyal and true best friends ever among many.

So if you like cool side scroller shooter and awesome dogs, this is definitely made for us. Keep on gaming, gamer buddies!

"Wild Dogs" is a cool retro styled platformer in the vein of the classic Contra games.

The game follows the typical run-and-gun platformer format, but occasionally the game-play changes into a fixed-screen shooter (where you control a vehicle) or precision platformer (where you play as the hero's dog!).

Expect hordes of alien and robotic enemies and lots of mini-bosses (I'm currently in the middle of stage 2 and I've already encountered 6).

The game's difficulty is on the higher side, so you'll likely need to replay each level a few times to practice and get the hang of things.

Visually, this game features lovely monochrome pixel art, with color palettes that are reminiscent of the classic Gameboy. The tilesets and character sprites are beautiful and add to the overall nostalgic feel of the game.

If you enjoy a challenge or have fond memories of classics like Contra, then you'll definitely enjoy "Wild Dogs"!

This game is a a love letter sent to Contra. With its perfectly balanced difficulty, crazy amount of bosses and clever level design, its a superb 2d run-and-gun side scroller. For a negative thing I can point out are: there is a time limit for every level I honestly do not know why, I hate time limits in every game, I want to enjoy the game without rushing it... Weapons could be upgradable if you picked the same one 2nd time in a row, sadly they aren't. The story and especially the ending of the game is just very bad... I wish this game had a coop mode.

If you enjoy contra style games and you aren't scared of a low color palettes go for it and buy it. Gameplay is just pure old style fun. :)

Wild dogs is a fun contra style run and gun game with mans best friend in tow, i love the gameboy look and music it really add the to the style. game play wise its plays great on the run and gun levels with tight controls and a few difrent weapons to pick up but the shooting stages have a bit of momentum to them making it a little hard at first to dodge bullets but you soon get used to it, there a great mix of levels and some surprise stages later on and i am not going to mention here.

Really good fun game recommended and well worth picking up.

huh. pretty good game. fluid movements and controls, great pixel art. mission 1 was pretty easy, but lets see how it goes from here

after playing for a few more missions I have some other things to say

1) these old wild DOGS learned a few tricks!!

2) the game is still really easy. Besides the motorcicle part in mission 2 which is insta-death, nothing else seems even barely challenging! the weapons are way too OP for the enemies. The timmings/damages are way too lenient. Am I missing something? maybe a hard mode from the get go would be good

3) the pixel art is really something else. the person who made the art was not lazy AT ALL. theres a ton of variety with bosses, even very detailed sprites that are seen for almost no time on screen!! damn, the pixel is really great to the point I feel bad its being underapreciated

Had a lot of fun with this one! Like a really god contra style game combined with other gameplay types. Good sense of humor as well. Easy recommend. Only issue I found was that the continue screen had "Quit" as the default option when it should be on "Continue".

Wild Dogs is a 2D platformer and shooter mainly inspired by the old Contras and Battletoads, with some variety in gameplay. It's short and basic, but nice. I recommend this developer's other games, like Biolab Wars and Savage Halloween. It's possible to disable screen shake.

Wild dogs ozes with amazing spirit from 80-90’s beloved game franchises. It gathered all best parts from most action games and constructed one big giant love letter to the fans. The game allows you to be Rambo from Contra, it allows you to be battletoads, it gives you wings to fly in space and most of them all it lets you to be a Gundam. The flexibility of level design is astonishing and the boss battles keeps you on edge. The game is not that hard on normal contra mode especially when you have super spreader. But don’t get fooled to much cause its no walk in the park. There is also hardcore mode which I need to learn how to beat it. This will be one of those games that I will be replaying many times for sure. Highly recommended.
